On the tip of Great Abaco we've discovered some of the most beautiful and productive water anywhere in the Caribbean. There are great numbers of bonefish in the two to five pound category, and many in the eight pound plus range. Like most of the truly special places left on earth, Sandy Point is remote. Most of the visitors that make the journey to Sandy Point come for one very good reason...the world class sport angling. There are literally miles of hard-bottomed flats teeming with large bonefish. Seasonally, a large number of permit appear to further entice the dedicated flats angler.

We're offering fishing vacations to serious anglers who want to get away from the crowds. Stay in comfort at a small guesthouse in the village of Sandy Point, at the remote southwestern tip of Great Abaco. Fish to your heart's content in the company of reliable, friendly, professional guides. Relax in the evening with a cool drink and a great Bahamian home-cooked meal.

The guesthouse is a small facility catering primarily to anglers. It has relaxed lodging for up to 14 guests in comfortable rooms, each with private bath and air conditioning. The lodge is directly adjacent to the beach and within walking distance of all village activities. Snorkeling is available a short distance away by boat.

Sandy Point's magnificent white sand flats stretch to the horizon and can be poled or easily waded. To access these flats, we have four flats boats manned by excellent and knowledgeable Bahamian guides.

Our head guide, Patrick Roberts, has developed a keen understanding of the flats, having grown up in Sandy Point and educated later in Minnesota. He, Anthony, Derreck, Nicholas and Kendall will show you the best Sandy Point has to offer. They know these waters exceptionally well, and can assist any angler with the basics, from fly selection to presentation. The ability of our guides to fish under varying conditions and help you spot fish is well respected. Novices, intermediate anglers, and expert fly casters alike will all feel equally welcome.

In order to preserve this magnificent fishery, Gorsuch Outfitters books only 10 anglers per week at Sandy Point. We invite you to give us a call and set a date to experience the true Bahamas. Then maybe you'll understand why most expert bonefishermen feel that the Bahamas has some of the best bonefishing in the world.
