Gore Creek at Vail

The Gore has been fishing well lately.  Working the double nymph rigs through fast water has been the most productive method for catch fish on the middle stretches of the Gore.  Midge patterns down low around the Aquarium Hole would be my call for hooking up.  5x or 6x fluorocarbon is a must on the Gore this time of year.  The fish in the Gore are smart but they can’t resist a juicy looking mayfly emerger with a good drift on light tippet.  Show up with your “A-Game” or you will be sure to get skunked.
